The Forest of Dean Children’s Opportunity Centre was formed in the early 1980’s, when a health visitor working in the Coleford area recognised the need for support for families of preschool children with Special Needs. Since then, the charity has gone from strength to strength and in 1995 they successfully received a National Lottery grant to extend their premises. This enabled the charity to accommodate the wide range of support and services that is offered to parents and carers.
The centre provides services and support to children with special needs from birth to age 7 and their families. The charity offers a great environment to allow the children to integrate with peers and be able to play, learn and develop in a safe, stimulating environment. The centre provides pre-school sessions and family support too. It is an informal meeting place for all.
How will your money help?
Since becoming a partner of the Forest of Dean Children’s Opportunity Centre, The Recycling Factory have donated enough funds for over 14 children to attend the charities play-scheme but we don’t want it to stop there. So, please continue to recycle for the Forest of Dean Children’s Opportunity Centre and help us grow our partnership.
This recycling scheme for charities is a completely free of charge service. We donate 100% of the value of all inkjet cartridges, which are successfully recycled.
Only selected inkjet cartridges are eligible for a donation, therefore please ensure that you check to see if the cartridge that you intend to recycle is listed.
