The Silver Line is the only national, free helpline and befriending service for older people across the UK. We are open 24 hours a day, every day and night of the year. We offer information, a friendly chat and advice to older people; link them to groups and services within their communities; and protect and support those who are suffering abuse and neglect.
We also recruit volunteers, known as Silver Line Friends, who contact older people by phone on a weekly basis, to offer friendship and help them rebuild their confidence to engage with local groups and services.
The Silver Line was founded by Dame Esther Rantzen in November 2013, after she was overwhelmed by the huge response she received after speaking publicly about her own experience of loneliness. Five years on, we have taken over 2 million calls, with demand for our service continually increasing.
This recycling scheme for charities is a completely free of charge service. We donate 100% of the value of all inkjet cartridges, which are successfully recycled.
Only selected inkjet cartridges are eligible for a donation, therefore please ensure that you check to see if the cartridge that you intend to recycle is listed. If the inkjet cartridge is listed, simply click on the freepost downloadable label below and affix this to your own packaging.
The weight limit for the freepost label is 1kg, but don’t worry if you have multiple items that exceed the weight limit, you can split these into smaller packages and use another label.
If you would like to recycle laser toner cartridges, please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
